1sttenor Posted October 19, 2008 #1 Posted October 19, 2008 Has anyone tried both the E3 and the Venom? I've been riding on E3 and liked them alot. The front still is 50% but the rear is due. Do Venoms wear better/worse than the E3s? I got 11K out of the rear E3 will get 20K out of the front it appears?
Sleeperhawk Posted October 20, 2008 #2 Posted October 20, 2008 I have an E3 on the rear and have had Venoms. About 8,000 on the tires now. Honestly I cann't tell the differents between the two models. What I am waiting for is the distance I may get on the E3 vs Venom. On the Venom rear I was getting around 14,000 miles. Some are getting around 20,000 on the E3. If I get this, then I will most likely stay with the E3.
GeorgeS Posted October 20, 2008 #3 Posted October 20, 2008 There have been several reports of over 20K with the E-3's . Your milage is somewhat puzzling with the E-3. ??? I agree, the venom's all seem to go about 14K , Mine did. I switched back to the E-3, The old E-II I had few years ago went 20K +
treeman Posted October 20, 2008 #4 Posted October 20, 2008 I here they don't make a Front tire in e-3 for RSV & what do you run in tire PSI 40 F 42 B 42 F 46 Back ???? what tire pressure is best. i just put Avons on.
OutKast Posted October 20, 2008 #5 Posted October 20, 2008 Hve run my E3s for 8k now, cross country with loaded trailer. Have not measured the tread depth, but still look new. Nice ride, handled grooved concrete freeways without tracking, seemed good in the rain. They are very loud in the curves though, overpowering my stock RK pipes.
