6pak Posted October 19, 2008 #1 Posted October 19, 2008 Trying to send a form from documents on the computer to an email addy, and it tells me that I'm getting an SMTP error. It asks me for a server name, says its an account POP3 error with an error # of 0x800CC0D. Any advice?
ebat Posted October 19, 2008 #2 Posted October 19, 2008 Could be that your email provider is down right now or if you have changed the password for your account recently the mail host is looking for the new password.

I'm no expert, but it sounds like your ISP isn't responding, or... the files may be too big and the server is pulling a time-out???. Simple Mail Transfer Protocall. Either that or your personal mail reader info has been corrupted and it's trying to send the forms somewhere that doesn't exist??? Just few thoughts....
friesman Posted October 19, 2008 #4 Posted October 19, 2008 I am wondering if you have just uninstalled an antivirus program or changed any programs lately. When uninstalling Norton antivirus and a couple others, you have to reconfigure email programs as norton inserts its own settings into your email to enable it to scan for viruses. I would call your ISP and aske them to walk you thru the reconfigure process to ensure you have the right setting and password. Brian
