DragonRider Posted October 17, 2008 #1 Posted October 17, 2008 The invasion of W. Memphis will no doubt be a grand success, after we conquer it, its off to Memphis, Tn. to conquer that town. All in all it looks like we should have a bigger turnout this year, lasts years invasion saw 11 bikes, this year the reinforcements are joining us. Ronald McDonald house will not be the same once this gang of marauding motorcyclist depart............. Everyone have a safe ride there and enjoy the trip, I know I will, been waiting too long for this one.....:dancefool:

Dragonslayer Posted October 17, 2008 #5 Posted October 17, 2008 Lewis, I' still waiting for voltage reg/rect to show via USPS. If it comes today it will only take me a few minutes to change it out. If that fixes my problem, and the weather improves I was still trying to make your meet point in the morning. I just got back to the house after my bike broke down on the side of I-78 in Stone Mountain with a completely dead battery, in the rain. A Harley rider stopped and gave me a lift to my buddies house where I was able to charge the battery. Then my buddy gave me a ride back to the bike and followed me home. Now I'm just waiting to see what the mailman brings me. I'll post later if I'm gonna be able to make it or not.
Dragonslayer Posted October 18, 2008 #6 Posted October 18, 2008 Looks like I won't be making it. The part I was waiting for did show up. However, I still have issues going on with my bike. So bottom line is I won't be making it to St Judes with you. Sorry I'm going to miss it.
Ozark Posted October 19, 2008 #8 Posted October 19, 2008 I won't try to speak for the others, but Pat and I had a great time, met some new and old friends, and had a memorable visit to the Ronal McDonald house. The St. Jude hospital and the Ronald McDonald house are indeed a very worthy organization. Many of us shared the emotion of wanting to cry because these facilities are needed and at the same time rejoice because we have such good ones. I'll post the pictures I have. Sorry for the quality and quantity, but my camera just stopped working. Everyone should do this ride someday.
eazyduzzit Posted October 19, 2008 #9 Posted October 19, 2008 Everyone should do this ride someday. I thought about trying to make it this year, but I had too many family things happening in Knoxville this weekend. I really would like to have been there....
colesgrandpaw Posted October 19, 2008 #10 Posted October 19, 2008 we had great weather, great ride, great bunch of people. St. Jude is a great place, the olny thing that i hate about the place is that there are way too many kids that need their help. VTirelli Posted October 19, 2008 #11 Posted October 19, 2008 I'm really hating that I couldn't make the trip. I WILL make one sooner or later.
