Sunman Posted October 20, 2008 #26 Posted October 20, 2008 I could not find "the Miximizer" on the intenet. If someone finds it, could you please provide a URL? Well, here is all the information that I could find. The Miximizer is made by Hopkins Manufacturing of Emporia Kansas. And here is the website and the direct link to the product I am talking about http://www.hopkinsmfg.com/10111.html The picture on the website, does not show the tubing that comes with the syringe. The tubing is what makes the miximizer work for our needs, and it is in the pack too. I am not sure if you can order directly, but there is a toll free number, (1-800-524-1458)they might be able to tell you which of your local dealers carries the product. If worse comes to worse, I can make a trip to Wal-mart, and then the post office I suppose.
N3FOL Posted October 20, 2008 Author #27 Posted October 20, 2008 Make sure the wife not looking then when she not around to catch you steal her basting tool. Be verrrry careful, getting caught could subject you to severe consequences No problem, I have this under control. No wife to worry about at this time.
frogmaster Posted October 20, 2008 #28 Posted October 20, 2008 I used about 18 to 20 inches of clear flexible tubing 1/2". Worked like a charm
N3FOL Posted October 21, 2008 Author #29 Posted October 21, 2008 I was wondering about what size to get...thanks for the info. The tubing is a good alternative to my battery operated auto pipettor.
RandyR Posted May 12, 2009 #30 Posted May 12, 2009 I bought rear gear oil at my Yamaha dealer yesterday. He gave me the Yamalube SAE 80W-90 which states "friction modified shaft drive gear oil". So it must have some kind of fiction reducing additive. But what that additive might be isn't on the label. At 1650 miles, or 1000 miles since my dealers 600 mile service, there was a lot of debris stuck to the magnetic end of the drain plug. So the advice to change the rear gear oil on a new machine several times before the scheduled 16000 mile service is good advice. For engine oil dealer gave me a jug of Yama 20-50, saying that Yamaha doesn't make a 20-40 any more, as recommended in the owners guide.

Yamaman Posted March 26, 2010 #32 Posted March 26, 2010 Six bucks at Harbor freight: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=95468 Goose This link no longer works. What was it? So am I to understand from previous post that the volume of final drive gear oil needed is less than 1/4 of a quart? I'm on my way to pick some up for tomorrow's Houston Maintenence Day. Also, where does one purchase Honda Moly60? Don't suppose I'll find it at Wally world?
RandyR Posted March 26, 2010 #33 Posted March 26, 2010 from memory, 1/6 quart fills the rear gear pumpkin. Clymer book says 200cc Get your Honda Moly60 at a Honda automotive service/parts counter (once in a bluemoon a MC dealer will have it).
V7Goose Posted March 26, 2010 #34 Posted March 26, 2010 This link no longer works. What was it? Good question - guess I should have added more info. That post was a year ago, and I don't have a clue what it might have been. Goose
