Guest Janeo Posted October 16, 2008 #1 Posted October 16, 2008 New to the forum so I'd like to say hello to everyone. I bought a brand new Stratoliner S in July of this year and have enjoyed it very much, they are a great bike. After going on vacation last week it kind of dawned on me that it would be kind of nice to have a fully outfitted touring bike. I went to the dealer and checked out the bikes they had and settled on the Yamaha Venture as the bike that I would like to have. I thought I would check here first and see if there was anyone who might want to go the other way and go the cruiser route. As far as cruisers go, there's no beating the Yamaha Stratoliner S as being the best on the market...they are beautiful and handle as good as they look. My bike is spotless with a few accessories, luggage rack, engine guards and Bucks lowers. The bike at this moment has 4500 miles on it but plan on riding it more this weekend. The bikes color is black cherry and again it's absolutely spotless. If this is something you might want to trade for with a late model Venture, or buy you can contact me at mikexup@yahoo.com.
kenw Posted October 16, 2008 #2 Posted October 16, 2008 Well I'll give you my opinion! I have an 06 venture and wouldn't trade it for the world. It's top heavy and a handfull at slow speeds ( there a 2 drivers, those that have dropped the bike, and those that will). I think you would be happy with one and welcome to the best site on the web!! These people are awesum, but watch out for the pond monster!! kENW
BigBoyinMS Posted October 16, 2008 #3 Posted October 16, 2008 LoL I'm sorta trying the same thing! I have a Venture but I also have an '06 Road Star that I'm trying to trade for a RSTD. Good luck!
