Geez, I tried every trick in the book to get this unit to boot up but it's dead.

Check out how many folks have had the same trouble as me! 44 pages of the same thing!

There is a definite problem with these units. Good news is that Garmin support has been very good with me and it looks like they will make it right.

Hopefully, I will be able to find danob11 and Bummer tomorrow since I'm "blind"! ;)

My 450 freezes up sometimes not often but when it does I just pull the battery and a way it goes.

Sharing routes is not the cause of mine as I rarely did that.

Assume you pulled the battery and nothing. ? First I heard of this one.

All you have to do is pull the battery , one allen screw on back. Wait about ten seconds and reinstall. Turn on and it will keep going without any data loss.

Bummer the Zumo went south , but Garmin takes real good care of it's customers . My Zumo was 6 months out of warranty and they still treated me as if it was in warranty . They replaced the Zumo with updated maps . Paid for all the shipping exspenses as well . Mine was beyond removing the battery to fix , but have heard others say that's what did the trick for them .
