Headlight

Has anyone converted the 1rst gen headlight to something more modern and bright?

I just converted my 83 to 86 up and it is a world of difference. I hated the 83 with the light back in the tunnel. I am not sure what year you have as you have not updated your profile to add your bike under your name, but my headlight with the PIAA bulb and two 55w running lights does real well.

Is it just a matter of changing the bulb, or is it more involved???

Does the 86 have a different reflector from the 83? I haven't paid too much attention to the headlight when I have come across another one.
