Avon tire pressure

Just finished installing 2 new avon venoms stock size.

I remember someone talking about what psi to put in the tires for the best all round performance but I can not find the post.

 

Anybody lead me in the right direction.

A lot of people here will immediately say to use max sidewall pressure. My personal testing has shown that to be dead wrong. The RSV handles somewhat skittishly in sweepers with rough road conditions if the tires are a tad too hard. This has been true with two different RSVs and 4 different tire types.

 

My preference with the Venoms is to run 46 rear, 40 front, depending on load. 48 rear is absolute max for best handling when heavily loaded on rough roads. Sidewall max of 50 on the rear is NOT good.

Ditto, run 46lbs rear and 40 lbs front. Handles great in the curves and uneven surfaces.

Anything less than 42 in the front and my front end gets very squirrelly in turns.
