I may try the Pure One filter the next time. Hard to find in this part of Canada but I'll be making a run across the border sometime in the next week or two.

The shop manual specification shows the bypass valve to be 11.15 - 16.72 psi.

It's always nice to have the correct information! I thought the disclaimer on the Purolator website was a bit strong, but I guess the pressure relief valve openning at too high a pressure could be a problem for some bike out there somewhere.

The Purolator PureOne PL14610 is on sale until May 30th 2012 at Advance Auto... 2 for $10..Don't know how that effects you north of the Border folks but.....
