loehring Posted October 4, 2008 #1 Posted October 4, 2008 I have an '07 RSV. I didn't get an owners manual with it and I can't get the clock to set. Can someone help me out here?
Squeeze Posted October 4, 2008 #3 Posted October 4, 2008 There's no stupid Question. Here's a Link to the Starmotorcycles Service, you can look into the User Manual http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/myyamaha/prompt/L3N0YXIvc2VydmljZS92aWV3bWFudWFscy9zdGFyX21hbnVhbHMuYXNweA==/Owners%20Manual/starthere.aspx
Eugene Posted October 4, 2008 #5 Posted October 4, 2008 I think its the same as the RSTD - there are two buttons on the "dash" for switching between Odometer/Trips/Clock etc. Press both buttons at the same time until the hour starts to flash - push the left button to set the hour, push the right button to move the flash over to the minutes, push the left button to set the minutes, push the right button one last time - and bingo - the clock is set.
Silver Bullet Posted October 4, 2008 #6 Posted October 4, 2008 hold boath buttons down till the clock starts blinking the hour then justset thehour the the min. will start blinking and just set them...hope this helps..
Guest tx2sturgis Posted October 4, 2008 #8 Posted October 4, 2008 And push and HOLD the select button to bring up the time display. You're welcome!
loehring Posted October 4, 2008 Author #9 Posted October 4, 2008 Once again you guys are the best. I'm falling deeper in love with this bike every day. I just installed the fork balance kit today. Pretty easy. The hardest part was running the hose. I kept reading (not here) about how top heavy this bike was and how hard it was to handle at slow speeds and in parking lots. I don't get it. Once I got used to the different foot position compared to the 1st Gen it's been easy. The low speed handling is actually better than the 1st Gen. I would agree that this may be a little too much bike for a beginner but I just don't see all the fuss. For a heavy, this bike is very well mannered.
gibvel Posted October 4, 2008 #10 Posted October 4, 2008 You can download the owners manual one the Yamaha website: http://www.starmotorcycles.com/assets/service/manuals/2007/LIT-11626-20-24_venture_1307.pdf Just click on the little disk in the upper left and save it to your computer.
