Midrsv Posted October 2, 2008 #1 Posted October 2, 2008 If you are an Iphone user check out the Accufuel application from the Apple App store. It is an simple application that tracks mileage for each fill up and keeps an average mpg as well as a tank mpg. Since I always have my phone with me it is easy to enter the data at each fill up. $0.99 well spent. Check it out at: http://www.appigo.com/accufuel/ DT
Monsta Posted October 2, 2008 #2 Posted October 2, 2008 Neat little app and would be good for RSV owner worried about MPG. For autos I recommend a Scan Gauge II. It plugs into your OBDII port and will give you instantaneous MPG, current average, tank average, cost etc. etc. Plus it gives you MANY other real-time gauges that are monitored by your PCM but not always displayed. Such as, air intake temp. "Is that cold-air intake really worth it?" In the case with my Excursion, "No, the air being pulled in is already ambient temp." I can average 2MPG more using it when I just monitor my TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) value. Worth the $159! `````````````` Have you checked out the "g-tac" application for your iPhone? It uses the accelerometer to measure 0-60, 1/4 mile w/speed, 60' times and G's pulled. Pretty neato.
Twenty7Delta Posted October 2, 2008 #3 Posted October 2, 2008 thanks for the tip - I was looking for just that. Looks like it was recently updated to allow for l/100km so it's perfect!
