Bummer Posted October 1, 2008 #3 Posted October 1, 2008 Oooooh, the wing vent thingies. I really like mine. Hot or cold, the come in handy.
BoomerCPO Posted October 1, 2008 #4 Posted October 1, 2008 Yep..........Something else to break when ya drop the bike.......
Carbon_One Posted October 2, 2008 #5 Posted October 2, 2008 Yep..........Something else to break when ya drop the bike....... Not really. I had dropped my bike a couple of times since owning it and never did anything to them. And last year laid it down at about 40-45 mph and still nothing happened to them except some scruffing on a bottom screw head. The crash bar and lower cowling took a beating and had to be replaced but not the air deflectors. Larry
raceman62race Posted October 2, 2008 Author #6 Posted October 2, 2008 Where do the add on vents mount?
sarges46 Posted October 2, 2008 #7 Posted October 2, 2008 The ones shown on the star site mount on the front lower crash bars. If you have foot pegs mounted there it will require you to wiggle things around to make it all fit. I have them and they work pretty good.
raceman62race Posted October 2, 2008 Author #8 Posted October 2, 2008 Thanks for the info. The Venture is doing well on these cooler days but I can tell I am going to want to get those vents for the hot summer days. Here in Georgia it is not uncommon to have 100+ degree days in the middle of the summer and the Venture seems to expell a lot of heat around the lower leg area. The extra heat feels good now that we are having cooler temps Thanks for the info guys!
