Mariner Fan Posted September 29, 2008 #1 Posted September 29, 2008 Wow, I just gave my little girl away in Marriage. It's kinda hard to believe how quick our kids grow up! My daughter Erin and her new beau Trevor. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3023/2895515933_bb8e45bc5c.jpg We got a chance to hang out in our old stomping grounds in Spokane Washington. Typical to see deer in the back yard. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3208/2895778951_0157431073.jpg We took the opportunity to drive over to the West side and visit family there. My son Kyle lives in Ballard. It's an area that has locks that allow travel to lake Union and Washington. To get there I took one of the floating bridges. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3037/2895771511_cdfbf29ee9.jpg The locks at Ballard are pretty cool. Salmon run up a fish ladder to the side. You can see them through a window down below. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3105/2896589650_1732bd8da0.jpg Boat Traffic through the locks. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3148/2896588028_e7b9620640.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3084/2895747291_2a9a937d55.jpg We also got to meet our the newest member to the family. Our great niece Isabel. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3202/2896552650_0073cceaca.jpg We had a ton of fun and saw a bunch of family and friends. It was tough to leave the Northwest! And yes, I caught a Mariner game in Seattle. Took my son Kyle with me. Can't beat that for good times! By the way, I saw a silver Venture in Spokane. I'm thinking it might have been an '05 after talking with Brad about the description.
Mariner Fan Posted September 29, 2008 Author #2 Posted September 29, 2008 A few more pictures..... Dano Posted September 29, 2008 #3 Posted September 29, 2008 Glad you had a good trip, Bob. Great pics!!! Good to see the folks and kids too, I bet. Didja "borrow" anybodys bike to squeeze a ride in? Bet that was tough, giving away the daughter. I'll have one coming up in the next 10 years, probably. Glad you came back safely!!!!! Dan
mini-muffin Posted September 29, 2008 #4 Posted September 29, 2008 Great Pics and congrats on your daughters wedding. Ours will be getting married next year. Should be fun, I don't think her dad wants to give her away. He seems to want to keep her. Oh well we have a year. Margaret
Freebird Posted September 29, 2008 #5 Posted September 29, 2008 Very nice. I'm happy for you and your daughter and wish them many years of marital bliss. Great job with the pictures. Looks like you had a GREAT trip. Wish we could have all joined you.
Mariner Fan Posted September 29, 2008 Author #6 Posted September 29, 2008 Thanks for the kind words. I guess it's a Dad thing but you really don't want them to grow up. I tortured poor Trevor to the point where I think he was really scared of me until Ruth told me to knock it off. Dan, I didn't have a bike to ride while in Washington. Boy, that would have been fun to have my scoot there!
Bummer Posted September 29, 2008 #7 Posted September 29, 2008 Congratulations to the happy couple and the proud family! That's sure a cutie Ruth's holding. Great pics! Glad to see that you guys had a good time.
Squidley Posted September 30, 2008 #8 Posted September 30, 2008 Nice pics Bob I see you made it to Safeco field while you were out there. BTW...Thank God she takes after Momma with the looks Hope the best for the both of them...now get on that bike of yours and make up for lost time
Leadwolf56 Posted September 30, 2008 #9 Posted September 30, 2008 Hey Bob, Glad to see you and Ruth had a good time out in Washington. Nice looking family. We're doing this at the end of February when my son gets married. Only have to drive 20 miles or so though. Good to see you made it to a ball game. Hi to Ruthie for us and we'll see you soon. Kevin and Sue
