Bag Guard Tabs

On my 93, there are tabs on the front outside corners of the bag guards. Does anybody know what they designed for?

On my 92 VR-------they are for helmet holder! Locks were in that spot?--------R the locks still there--------

86's don't have them.

helmet locks are under the trunk.

I think the tabs you're asking about are for the booster foot pads for kids etc. Here's a pic of one off HDHTR's ....... I had the yens for a set until I found out they are rarer than chicken lips, and the couple that have appeared on Ebay went for tons.......

On my ninety three doesn't look like anything has ever been bolted up there.

Mystery solved for me. In photo #2 it shows the helmet locks bolted to the tabs on my bike. I really like those kids boards. will have to keep an eye out for them.

 

Now all I need are some helmet locks.
