Storminyte Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Looking for some advice....I just got the trunk rack and I noticed on the rack there is a sticker that says 10 lb limit....I am assuming that limit is actually meant for what the trunk can hold but is that 10 lb limit realistic?? I want to be able to put a bag on there for a trip but also don't want to damage the trunk. Can anyone help with limitations?? Thanks in advance... Dee
Roadhand Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 10 lb limit realistic? Most likely not. I have a bag I place on my 07 whenever I travel and it weighs around 15lbs. I just place most everything I will need for the day and I do not open the trunk with the bag on the rack. I would not put much more than this on the rack. It may hold more but why damage the trunk lid
Little Bob Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I have Iron Rider bag that i put on my 07. It weighs in at about 14 lbs. No problems Like said before do not open the trunk with the bag on it. :guitarist 2:
flb_78 Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I once carried a bag that weighed in around 80lbs on the rack from Texas to Illinois. No problems.
LWesson Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I once carried a bag that weighed in around 80lbs on the rack from Texas to Illinois. No problems. Did you ride a wheelie all the way there???? Cheers, Leonard

Condor Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Only thing I put on the rack are jackets and lighter stuff. I ride one up everywhere so a duffle with clothing fits great in the passenger seat. MOF it makes for a great back rest. Trunk and saddles are filled with everyday do-dads. Spare tire..extra motor..coolant..tools...granola bars... water.
Iowawegian Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 UFFDA...... Norwegian slang for : Holy Cow! Wow! You gotta be kidding! Holy Buckets! Oh My! Pronunciation: ooofda, but you gotta say it with some gusto!
