Guest offdutyagain Posted June 13, 2007 #1 Posted June 13, 2007 Help, Is there anyone who can help me get my carbs in sync? I bought a 96 RSTD in April and it just doesn't seem to run right. In reading other posts, I think the carbs are out of sync. I had a sync device, but the mercury is no longer in the tubes. I'll buy breakfast (or any other meal) if there is someone who can give me a hand. Travel in SE Mich/NW Ohio is no problem as I'm out of school. Thanks in advance.
Freebird Posted June 13, 2007 #2 Posted June 13, 2007 Free carb syncs at my house are no problem. I live outside of Cleveland though. Ride on over and we'll Git 'R Done.
Guest offdutyagain Posted June 13, 2007 #3 Posted June 13, 2007 Thanks, That would be a nice 3 hour ride for me, Would weekends be best for you?
Guest offdutyagain Posted June 13, 2007 #5 Posted June 13, 2007 Thanks, All I need now is an address.
Freebird Posted June 13, 2007 #8 Posted June 13, 2007 I'm looking forward to it. Be prepared ... it will probably take at LEAST 10 minutes.
Guest offdutyagain Posted June 13, 2007 #9 Posted June 13, 2007 Thanks, I can't tell you how much I've learned from this site. I am so looking forward to meeting you and others who post here regularly and help us neophytes out. This IS the best site on the web.
Carbon_One Posted June 13, 2007 #10 Posted June 13, 2007 OffDuty I can help you out here as well. I also live in S.E. Mich so may not be very far from you. Drop me an e-mail to set up a time. I'm currenty out of work so just about any time is good too. Larry
Guest offdutyagain Posted June 13, 2007 #11 Posted June 13, 2007 Don, Thanks for your generous offer. Larry is a little closer and we have something set up for later this week. I still can't wait to meet the famous "Freebird" next time you have a meet and eat, let me know. It would be worth the drive to talk to you.
pegscraper Posted June 14, 2007 #12 Posted June 14, 2007 Help is available in NE IN also, Fort Wayne area.
Freebird Posted June 14, 2007 #13 Posted June 14, 2007 No problem at all. I figured that would work out better for you. Besides, Larry is a MUCH nicer guy than I am.
Guest offdutyagain Posted June 14, 2007 #14 Posted June 14, 2007 Just got back from Larry's, He did a great job on the carbs...best part though is he custom made a lift stand for my RSTD while I was there. Took the measurements, welded it up and will finish it tonight. Thanks to EVERYONE for all the help.
