dogman Posted September 23, 2008 #1 Posted September 23, 2008 As a result of all the great post, I bought a set of the Kuryakyn longhorn highway pegs. They are amazing. Instant and I do mean instant relief from the engine heat. The wind then blows up my legs and I can feel it on my chest. Even my wife can feel the difference as there is more air flow for her as well. Now I have to decide on buying a back rest or trailer hitch next. I saw a golf club rack on one of the recommended sites that I would love to get if I get a hitch.

Brad 1st 2 things I bought for mine was Highway pegs and a backrest, backrest will make a long day way easier. Buy the hitch later

Far as a hitch - everybody has an opinion on that. For me, I don't like to tote that much stuff. What I did was create a cargo tray that goes where the hitch is. that carries a cooler, a duffle bag or what ever extra I need.

Also not everyone likes the backrest... I had one and took it off after 2 weeks... And I do some distance... I figure I did 60k without a backrest I can do another ....

But when I saw the golf rack, I thought how cool is that, I can take my bike golfing instead of the van. More time to ride. I may even get more golf in as an excuse to go for a ride. My camera is not working Maineac so I can't post any pics. It took me forever to figure out how to post my new licence plate photos. I would love to have my plate under my name like yours is.... Not that I want to copy, but after all, our plates are our handles on this site.

I believe that refers to the size of the bar on which you will connect the pegs

We where hoping to drive down for the Thanksgiving Weekend for dinner, then drive back, but we couldn't co-ordinate with the rest of the family to make the commitment.
