hi,

i bot from USA venture 1993year

 

whats in this bike good and bad in this year?

 

this is my first venture. whats bike is better : venture or goldwing?

Welcome Raiki,

The majority of us believe that the Venture is better than the Wing. The V4 is the biggest perk on the bike, it's a bullet proof engine and makes good horsepower from 3000 rpms up to about 8000 rpms. By '93 all of the problems were pretty much worked out. As long as the bike has been maintained properly, you really wont have many issues. These bikes will go 100000 miles without a problem and I know of some 200000 mile bikes that are still rolling strong.

Greetings, Raiki - this is the best forum to get good information about your bike. Happy for you that you got a 1993 Venture. It is a very good bike.

First question, would be , has the bike been in service?? or, has it been stored for a long period of time.

 

IF, its been sitting for some long period, I would reccomend you at least Drain the Fuel tank, ( remove hose at petcock ) and drain into a container.

 

Also, drain the Carb bowls. Each one has a drain hose.

 

Its advisable to run a can of " SEA-FOAM " fuel system conditioner, just to make sure the fuel system and Carbs are clean.

helloo,

 

i changed all liquids and this bike allready runs in Estonia and over 1500 miles. everythings seems now ok.

20-26,06 we will be in Finland and plan is go to utsjoki and back. It will be ca. 2500miles.

Seems that my bike has all extras ...

 

its lot of fun riding with this bike...

my wifes dad have GL1200 and now i now that venture is better

That's a good looking bike Raiki, and you will certainly be able to outrun and outride that Goldwing! That's the reason these bikes were built in the first place! Have fun with your trip, make sure to post your pictures up here so we can see. We love to see the different countries from a riders view. Like your house, too!
