CO.Rider Posted September 21, 2008 #26 Posted September 21, 2008 According to the American Voyager Association ( AVA ) forum, the warranty on the Kaw web site is incorrectly stated at 1 year. Suppose to be 3 yrs with additional yrs available. http://www.amervoyassoc.org/
VTirelli Posted September 22, 2008 #27 Posted September 22, 2008 Looking a little more in depth, there are a bunch of things they're not saying, seat height, weight size etc. I don't think I like the 2 speakers too, as I remember the sound system was a little weak. The CB used to be standard until I believe the 95 model then they stopped putting it in. All in all, I kinda like the look, I'm going to have to see and sit on one, hopefully get a ride before I make a final decision. I don't think it's enough to get me away from my 05, but who knows, if Yamaha doesn'tmake any changes by the time I'm ready to replace her, I'll definitely give her a good lookover.
RSTDRIDER Posted September 22, 2008 #28 Posted September 22, 2008 I'm going to hafta consider one, I just hope it has the same whine!
Carbon_One Posted September 22, 2008 #29 Posted September 22, 2008 Certainly an interesting bike. I too would of been interested in it if it had been available in 05 when I bought my Venture. Like others here have said Yamaha may be losing out big time if they either don't get their act together or even worse if they don't give the people the stuff they want on a touring bike. Have a buddy who's just about ready to pull the plug on his 07 H-D Road Glide and buy a Vision. He's had his bike in the shop way too much already (at least 5 times I know of)and getting fed up with it. Larry
waterbug Posted September 22, 2008 #30 Posted September 22, 2008 I really like the looks of this bike and if it would have came out earlier in the year I think I would have bought it if it has all the options the RSV has. I did test a couple of nomads with front fairings and radios and stuff but it put the price well over the RSV and I didnt like the way the vibrated so much it made my hands feel num after awhile. All in all it is a very nice looking bike with what I would love to have on my new RSV.
Tartan Terror Posted September 22, 2008 #31 Posted September 22, 2008 I think more time will tell but I got to say that the Voyagers 2nd Gen will probably raise the same debates we have all the time. Does this mean Lowell can say he is on a 1st Gen again???
