Front Turn Signal

My front left turn signal is out but it does blink when the turn signal is on. I replaced it with a new bulb – no luck, it does the same thing, it only blinks.

I think you're saying the running light is not on the front left but the turn signal still works?

Check for socket corrosion...very common especially on 2nd gens that have the passing lights installed and the turn signals installed upside down making a water trap.

Thanks Neil, that's what I was trying to say – I did notice corrosion when I changed the bulb.

One of the wires in you passing lamp harness may be unplugged also

Did you check it with a volt meter?

 

It is rare in todays market but you can get a new bad bulb

 

Did you try swapping the bulbs from left to right?

 

Also did you purchase 2357A bulbs or 1157A bulbs?

Thanks for all the help. I'll check the passing lamp harness next since the old bulb and the new bulb are acting the same way. And I did buy 1157 bulbs.

You might want to purchase 2357A bulbs for the turn signals and 2357LL for the tail/brake light. I did!!!!

I'm stopping at the AutoZone on may way home to pick up these bulbs. Might as well do it right the first time.

Remember you need four of the 2357A and one of the 2357LL bulbs...

Buy a 1st Gen!!

 

Sorry. After you clean that thing put a little Di-Electric Grease on it to keep it going.
