hipshot Posted September 16, 2008 #1 Posted September 16, 2008 i recently pulled my carb diaphragms out. i noticed that the "bottom section", of the tubes, were pretty scratched up. the FIX, is to take the "tube" in one hand, press the diaphragm end into your other palm, twist the tube. this re-orients the "tab" in relation to the scratched tube! i do not believe the rubber coated part is actually "glued " to the insert and washer. i believe it is merely a close press fit. some one correct me, if i'm wrong, here. just jt:banana:
hipshot Posted September 17, 2008 Author #2 Posted September 17, 2008 looks like everyone, but me, already knew this! lol just jt:8:
Dano Posted September 17, 2008 #3 Posted September 17, 2008 I just got on here, JT. Sounds like a great idea. I noticed when I pulled mine out last week that there was some scratchin' goin' on. I'll try that one. Dan
GigaWhiskey Posted September 17, 2008 #4 Posted September 17, 2008 So, I am guessing the diaphragm I sent you has arrived. I hope it was good enough to use.

GigaWhiskey Posted September 17, 2008 #6 Posted September 17, 2008 it was there on the table from the part that poledar gave me with stuffing. The Post Office told me, in there own words, after I paid, that they ripped me off. lol, go figure. It was supposed to be half what I paid. no worries.
