Bought a set Rick Butler makes, a few years ago. No problem with them coming off. Recently had bike at dealer and they commented on how easy it was to remove and reinstall the seat.

the shape of the seat on my 2013 venture made this a PIA to remove using either a scoket or a ratchet wrench.....and as murrphys law would have it...what ever is a PIA to remove intentionally will come loose accidentally when you do not want it to.

I put a drop of blue loctite on the threads of the seat. Ran a wing nut on then back off and let dry. Then reinstall seat the dried loctite is just enough to prevent the wing nuts (lowes $0.44 each) from coming loose

Bought a multi pack of metric plastic wing nuts from Grainger for very little money. Stored the extras in the saddlebag in case I loose one.

Maybe I should sell them??? This could make my first million!:cool10:

if you do loose your seat retaining nuts and do not have something on the studs to keep the seat on the bike and your Venture breaks down and you have to have it towed, there is a good chance you will loose your seat some where along the way during the tow.
