Twenty7Delta Posted September 11, 2008 #1 Posted September 11, 2008 I haven't had time for much riding but spent the last weekend around Kootenay lake in the BC interior. This pic was taken in Kaslo by a hamburger stand! Great roads through the area: New Denver, Creston, Lumby. The stretch from Nakusp to Lumby has partially been repaved and is smooth as silk!!!!!!
Guest divey Posted September 11, 2008 #2 Posted September 11, 2008 Ah, my old stompin' grounds in Nakusp. I know that area well but unfortunately didn't have a scoot at the time to enjoy those roads. Don't know about the Dragon Tail but I suspect some of that highway between Arrow Lakes and Lumby would take a close second! Glad you were able to enjoy it. Doug
Mariner Fan Posted September 11, 2008 #3 Posted September 11, 2008 I've trekked around Kootenay Lake. Did you stop at Ainsworth Hot Springs?
Twenty7Delta Posted September 11, 2008 Author #4 Posted September 11, 2008 no, unfortunately we went by.... Next year we plan on doing the trip as a hot pool circuit! ride, eat, soak, sleep, repeat!
Squidley Posted September 11, 2008 #5 Posted September 11, 2008 I can see this turning into a "Where's Waldo" type thing
steppenwolf Posted September 19, 2008 #6 Posted September 19, 2008 Well I am looking for the other three thousand places the mug has been...I want more You are in an area I have never been in and don't have a clue as to where it is...YET!! Will get the map out.........more pictures please
Twenty7Delta Posted September 19, 2008 Author #7 Posted September 19, 2008 haha - I just got the mug and I thought it would be cool to get a pic everytime it goes out with me! Here's a couple more pics from the same trip - can't see the mug though! 194 is Kootenay lake north of Kaslo, BC. The road soons turns to gravel after this point and I have heard it's pretty rough. Our destination was really south west of there so we headed back shortly after this pic 0115 is Bob and his wife. Bob is a member of this forum (tag is something about ducks) and who "venturized" his tour deluxe. That's a Electra Glide fairing! 0076 is Francis' V-Star parked outside the A&W in Creston BC. 0110 is Al and his Venture carvin' the corners! Fantastic roads all around that area!
