Eddie Fulmer Posted September 10, 2008 #1 Posted September 10, 2008 Hey I was washing my bike and noticed that the front air deflecters were almost ready to fall off. Seems the vibration has about done them in. What is the fix if any for these?? Seems like there was a thread on it a while back but I was unable to locate it.
Tartan Terror Posted September 10, 2008 #2 Posted September 10, 2008 Buy the replacement brackets from Diamond R. They are much more sturdy. Even if Yammy replaced the stock ones for you they would be a problem later too.
Freebird Posted September 10, 2008 #3 Posted September 10, 2008 I agree. If the bike was still under warranty, I would say to have Yamaha replace them but since it's a '99, just replace them with the Diamond R brackets and be done with it. I finally lost one of mine last year. I went with the Diamond R brackets and their polished SS deflectors and am very happy with them.
